The Senior Fabric Technologist manages fabric-related technical operations, requiring expertise in yarns, production, and dyeing. The role involves guiding factories during development and collaborating with the Design & Innovation team to identify trends and evaluate fabrics. They work with Quality and Production teams to ensure fabric feasibility and maintain product integrity while staying updated on global innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of technical fabric issues from development to bulk production.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with product safety and quality standards.
- Guide factories on fabric-related challenges and adherence to required standards.
- Collaborate with the design team to explore new fabric trends and innovations.
- Source, evaluate, and develop fabrics in knit and woven categories, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage technical issues related to yarn selection, manufacturing, dyeing, and finishing.
- Support product safety requirements across menswear, womenswear, and kidswear.
- Coordinate quality audits and ensure compliance with printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing processes.
- Maintain documentation, track developments, and manage tasks accurately and within deadlines.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Graduate in Textile Manufacturing from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Garments and Buying House operations is required.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of knit & woven fabrics.
- Experience in pattern making for both knit and woven.
- Strong understanding of quality control/audit processes.
- Basic knowledge of printing, embroidery, and washing techniques.
- Experience working with Menswear, Womenswear, and Kidswear, including product safety and process control.

- Strong multitasking ability and organizational skills.
- Capable of managing deadlines and maintaining high accuracy under pressure. skills, and deadline-focused work approach.
