We are looking for A Head of Operations for a reputed Electrical Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
Position: Head of Operations / Senior Manager / AGM-Operation
Experience: 10-15 years of experience in this sector (Transformer, Generator, or Substation electrical heavy equipment)
Report to: MD
Education: BSc/MSc. In Mechanical or Electrical, an MBA in Operations will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee entire production and operations, including hardware, galvanizing, and electrical manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and supervise plant operations to ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Ensure quality production and on-time delivery in line with awarded tenders and client specifications.
- Develop and enforce SOPs and best practices for efficient plant operation.
- Prepare and monitor monthly and annual production budgets, including raw material, consumables, and cost estimation.
- Conduct regular reviews of production schedules, capacity, and cost efficiency.
- Forecast operational needs, production costs, and market demand.
- Implement process improvements, machine modifications, and new technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Take proactive measures to reduce machine breakdowns, wastage, and energy consumption.
Lead, motivate, and develop production teams, ensuring accountability and high performance. - Recruit, train, and mentor staff and workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership in managing local stakeholders, government officials, and external auditors.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality control, and finance departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders.
- Address and manage external challenges, including political/local pressures and regulatory ISS.
