A highly reputed bank in Bangladesh is seeking a senior banking professional to lead its Branch Banking Division, overseeing nationwide branch performance, distribution strategy, deposit growth, asset quality, cards & payments, and regulatory compliance.
Position: Head of Branch Banking Division
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Experience & Profile
Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking. Proven leadership across Retail, SME, Wholesale and Card businesses
Strong functional knowledge of deposits, loans, trade finance, cards & payments, ALM, portfolio and NPL management
Sound understanding of Bangladesh Bank regulations, AML/CFT and internal risk, credit and operational policies
Demonstrated leadership, people management, communication and change management capabilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead branch and regional business plans, sales budgets and performance to achieve ABP and reforecast targets
Drive CASA, term deposits, payroll, institutional and HNW deposit mobilisation
Strengthen cross-selling across banking products and services
Ensure strong KYC/AML governance, pricing discipline and operational control
Own asset quality of branch-sourced portfolios, including SMA, recovery and NPL reduction
Lead branch-driven cards and payment business (debit/credit cards, POS, PG), ensuring portfolio quality and fraud control
Maintain service excellence, regulatory compliance and timely closure of audit and inspection observations
Lead, coach and develop Regional Heads, Area/Cluster Managers and Branch Managers
Education
Master’s / 4-year graduation in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline
Professional banking certifications preferred
