We are hiring a Facade Design Engineer for a reputable Australian BPO company.
Experience: 4-6 Years
Location: DOHS Baridhara, Dhaka
Office Time: 07 am-04.00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform wind load assessments in line with AS/NZS 1170.2, including zoning, shape factors, and pressure coefficients.
- Structural analysis façade elements (like aluminum mullions, transoms, glass panels, fixings) using Strand7, ANSYS, or equivalent tools.
- Perform thermal and condensation analyses using THERM or WUFI; assess glazing performance, thermal bridges, and U-values to ensure compliance with NCC Section J and FP1.4.
- Collaborate closely with Australian engineers to produce full facade design packages.
- Review architectural drawings for facade systems.
- Support the production of design documentation, including:
o Structural & Thermal performance summaries & Facade performance reports (FP1.4 / F3P1) - Create and maintain technical reports and drawing mark-ups using Microsoft Word and Bluebeam.
- Conduct technical reviews and markups of drawings, design reports, and calculation files.
- Maintain organized, version-controlled files and deliverables per internal QA processes.
Education Qualification:
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Structural/Civil
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in facade or thermal design.
Skill Required:
- The candidate must possess a strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Proficiency in structural mechanics and façade load path interpretation.
- FEA tools: Strand7, ANSYS, or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Familiarity with Australian standards:
o AS/NZS 1170.2 – Wind Loads
o AS 1288 – Glass in Buildings
o AS/NZS 1664 – Aluminium
o AS/NZS 4284 – Facade Testing
o NCC 2022 – Section J & FP1.4 - Basic scripting skills: Python, VBA, or MATLAB.
- Thermal and condensation analysis documentation.
- Facade performance summaries and compliance statements (NCC/FP1.4).
