Job Purpose
The COO is responsible for leading the company’s overall operations—including Sales, Production, HR, Finance & Accounts, Commercial, Sourcing, and Supply Chain—to ensure business growth, efficiency, and profitability. The ideal candidate must have a strong sales background, hands-on experience in export and local sales, and a solid understanding of operational functions that support business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Sales Leadership
• Lead and drive both export and local sales strategies for LDPE, HDPE, PP, poly items, and accessories.
• Ensure aggressive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention.
• Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; monitor performance and ensure achievement.
• Build strong relationships with local RMG factories, buying houses, international buyers, importers, and distributors.
• Guide sales teams on pricing, negotiations, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
2. Operational Leadership
• Oversee day-to-day performance of all operational departments:
o Production (output, quality, capacity planning)
o HR & Admin (policy, manpower planning, discipline, safety)
o Finance & Accounts (cash flow, budgeting, costing, compliance)
o Commercial & Logistics (LC, export documentation, shipment planning)
o Sourcing & Procurement (local/foreign sourcing, supplier management)
• Ensure cross-functional coordination to support sales, delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Implement operational KPIs to drive discipline and accountability.
3. Strategic Planning & Business Execution
• Translate the company’s strategic goals into actionable operational plans.
• Identify new business opportunities in the local and international markets.
• Lead expansion initiatives including capacity increase, product diversification, and new certifications (e.g., GRS, recycling standards).
• Guide budgeting and resource allocation to align with business priorities.
4. Team Leadership & People Development
• Supervise department heads, ensuring clarity of roles, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Build a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, training, and capability development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, discipline, ethical behaviour, and continuous improvement.
5. Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, environmental, export, and labour regulations.
• Oversee internal controls to protect company assets and integrity.
• Anticipate risks in production, finance, supply chain, or sales, and establish mitigation plans.
• Ensure strong documentation, audit readiness, and buyer compliance.
6. Stakeholder & Board Reporting
• Provide regular performance reports to the Managing Director / Board.
• Present insights, forecasts, operational updates, and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure transparency in decision-making, budgeting, and performance tracking.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Must–Haves
• 10–15+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial roles.
• Proven background in export and local sales in LDPE/HDPE/PP/poly/flexible packaging or garment accessories.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across Production, HR, Finance, Sourcing, and Commercial.
• Strong understanding of LC operations, export documentation, costing, and supply chain.
• Demonstrated ability to scale sales volume and improve operational efficiency.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with capacity planning, compliance audits, and international buyer relations.
• Experience within Iswardi EPZ or similar industrial zones is an advantage.
