We are looking an Assistant Manager or Senior Executive, Yarn Procurement (Synthetic) for a reputed RMG Manufacturing Industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Synthetic Sourcing: Strategically source and procure a variety of synthetic yarns (e.g., Polyester, Viscose, Nylon, Acrylic, and various blends) from both local and international spinning mills/suppliers.
• Supplier Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and develop new, reliable yarn suppliers to broaden the supply base, focusing on competitive pricing, quality consistency, and ethical compliance.
• Price Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations on price, credit terms, payment schedules, and delivery logistics to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and finalize purchase contracts and agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions protect the company’s interests and comply with legal requirements (e.g., LC terms, import/export regulations). - Inventory, Quality & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Demand Forecasting: Work closely with the Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams to accurately forecast future yarn requirements and develop a procurement plan that prevents stockouts and overstocking.
• Quality Assurance: Liaise with the Quality Control (QC) and R&D departments to ensure all procured synthetic yarns meet the buyer’s quality specifications, technical requirements, and testing standards.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the Commercial/Logistics department for the smooth, safe, and timely delivery of materials, including managing documentation for local and imported shipments.
• Inventory Control: Monitor yarn inventory levels at the Gazipur factory store to maintain optimum stock and minimize carrying costs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in yarn procurement/sourcing, with a dedicated focus on synthetic yarns, preferably within a large, export-oriented Textile/RMG Group.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of synthetic yarns (their properties, counts, spinning processes, and quality parameters) is essential.
