Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager for a leading RMG organisation. This role will be responsible for managing overall human resources functions along with ensuring full compliance with local labour laws, international buyer standards, and MNC compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in the fashion/garments industry, trade union handling, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Management & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Lead performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Management:

  • Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law and international standards (e.g., buyer compliance, audit requirements).
  • Handle social compliance audits (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, etc.).
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times.

3. Trade Union & Industrial Relations:

  • Manage trade union activities and maintain a positive industrial relations environment.
  • Handle grievance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Liaise with government bodies, labour or offices, and external stakeholders when required.

4. Policy Development & Implementation:

  • Develop and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with MNC compliance standards and ethical practices.

5. Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and organise learning & development programs.
  • Promote leadership development and employee skill enhancement initiatives.

6. Payroll & Compensation Oversight:

  • Supervise payroll, benefits administration, and compensation structure.
  • Ensure timely salary disbursement and compliance with wage regulations.

7. Workplace Culture & Employee Engagement:

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention strategies, and organisational culture initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in the fashion/RMG industry
  • In-depth knowledge of trade union management and labour relations
  • Hands-on experience with MNC compliance standards and audits
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law and international compliance frameworks
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex workforce issues

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or related field
  • Additional certifications in HR/Compliance will be an advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience (15–25 years) in HR & Compliance within the RMG sector
  • Proven track record in managing a large workforce and a factory environment
  • Experience working with international buyers and compliance audits
