To ensure compliance with legal requirements and implement the Buyer’s Code of Conduct as per Sustainability standards, as well as the COC in respect of strict discipline within the Company. Follow up proper Implementation with Improvement by close monitoring to meet the Sustainable Sustainability Management System.

Education & Qualification Requirements:
Minimum Graduate from a reputed institution. Masters/MBA and Diploma in relevant subject will be given preference.

Experience Requirements:
8/10 years experience along with Managerial position.

Industry Type: RMG Factory exprience preferable

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Communicate with internal and external departments as necessary to ensure effective operations.
  2. Conduct floor visits and relay observations to relevant personnel for corrective actions.
  3. Monitor and follow up on the Corrective Action Plan.
  4. Oversee regular assessments of health and safety issues in the factory.
  5. Review documentation for internal training and sustainability activities to ensure proper record-keeping.
  6. Prepare documentation for audits in alignment with customer requirements.
  7. Collect and analyze feedback from team members and implement necessary measures.
  8. Manage daily sustainability issues through proactive follow-ups.
  9. Supervise fire officer duties and provide guidance on fire safety.
  10. Represent the organization at buyer meetings, seminars, and workshops.
  11. Organize awareness programs for management to address buyer and legal requirements.
  12. Facilitate meetings with department heads to promote information sharing and resolve non-conformities.
  13. Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance staff capacity and maintain a smooth work environment.
  14. Schedule and conduct sustainability committee meetings.
  15. Develop and review audit schedules and training calendars; confirm training session plans.
  16. Identify risk factors and implement preventive safety measures.
  17. Compile sustainability status reports for internal review.
  18. Upload corrective actions to the database and update buyers on non-conformities.
  19. Assess accident and injury analysis to implement corrective action plans.
  20. Assist in preparing maternity benefit records for submission to the Chief Inspector.
  21. Conduct evaluations and brief interviews with employees regarding the work environment.
  22. Facilitate Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions for internal trainers.
  23. Update policies, procedures, and training manuals to align with buyer requirements.
  24. Maintain correspondence and coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and government agencies.
  25. Engage with management to develop policies that comply with local laws and buyer codes of conduct.
  26. Review competence certificates for various roles as required by sustainability standards.
  27. Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) management and facilitate health check-ups for sensitive roles.
  28. Confirm testing and servicing of medical and safety equipment.
  29. Prepare necessary documentation for compliance with legal authorities and ensure timely submission.
  30. Conduct annual assessments and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate hazards.
  31. Collect and implement updated requirements from buyers and conduct supply chain mapping for sustainability initiatives.
  32. Responsible to full fill the requirements of EMS & QMS based on the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) & ISO 9001:2015 (QMS).
    33.Assigned responsibility to his/ her department subordinates based on the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) & ISO 9001:2015 (QMS).
  33. Able to handle Social, Environment, Technical, C-TPAT, Fire & Safety, Chemical Safety, Building & Electrical.
  34. Have to clear knowledge about local law & rules and agreements/standard such as; BLL, BEPZA Instruction, FSCD, BNBC, NFPA, Accord and Alliance.
  35. Clear Knowledge about zero tolerance issues, i.e. Child Labor, Forced labor, Minimum Wages, Transparency, Chemical Restrictions etc.
  36. SA8000 Auditor Certification is a plus. 
  37. ACCORD, Alliance, BGMEA, BKMEA, FSCD, Buying Office, Third party Audit Company, Labor Office, Certification Company, Auditors, Vendors, Government & Non-Government office & agencies and relevant company’s responsible personnel.
